Music Playlist Challenge: "The Club Can't Handle Me" - Flo Rida

Ok, I will confess, I turned this song on and my school comedy group's skit kept coming to mind, so really, "The Class Can't Handle Me" was what was running through my mind. So I went with the chicest nerd you could see. Needless to say the outfit made me feel like my class couldn't handle me.



Basically I just got inspired by listening to the song over and over again while putting on. I decided to show how "cool" I was by rolling my skinny jeans up. Not sure if I'm the most amazing candidate for that look since I am short and have curves on my lower side but I enjoyed trying something new.

Although this was actually for a Christmas party, since I knew my New Years would be unremarkably casual attire, I pulled out the gold sequins earlier in the month. Daring Greatly

Most outfits I wear don't spark controversy. But for some reason this one did:  After reinventing my wardrobe and cleaning it up, I'm finding I am able to think up more creative combinations for outfits because I can see more. So, less is more is the moral of that story. But I saw some past outfits where people took summer "jumper" dresses, paired them with button-ups underneath, and gave them a fresh, almost Indie-look. So when I realized I could wear this dress another way, I instantly pulled it out and chose what I felt was the most interesting and suitable combination - my buffalo plaid top. I stepped out of my room and my roommate immediately took a look and, very unlike her, said, "Hey, just wanted to let you know, that top and dress don't match." Music Challenge Recap

Phew, it took almost a year to complete this task, but I completed my second music challenge !   For those who don't remember or don't know, my older sister I Get Dressed currently runs a fashion blog and inspired me to turn my old one (formerly eclectic rocking) from a database of pictures (which Pinterest now fulfilled that need in my life) to a daily documentation of what outfits I wore.  Once we got the hang of pictures and were starting to get bored with our outfits, we had a conversation about two years ago about how a lot of music inspires fashion . So we decided to push ourselves creatively by giving each other a set of songs that we had to create outfits for.
