The Ballad of the Blonde

 The best two-to-four dollar purchase anyone could ever ask for! This skirt is great when I want to break up the monotony of pure black and opt for more texture. I'm sure it will be happy to be pulled out again for Fall and Winter season!

These are all for SPF and style, I got into the Geek Chic look back when I was fifteen and fulfilled my dream to try out glasses when I went to college so I could rebel against my parents' opinion about glasses. I like them because people take me more seriously and if I need to get rid of the "dumb blonde" stereotype for a bit, it works well with my professors. My glasses have become and icon in the office lately, I usually wear them simply as a psychological thing when I need an extra thing of brains for a meeting or whatever. But they add a nice touch to outfits too. Enjoy my "iconic" rims!

This outfit for was a photo shoot with my office for a long-running joke we've been having. We were doing a ridiculously preppy photo shoot. But I was asked to come looking like a hipster, so I had to find a delicate balance between preppiness, fall colors, and hipster irony. I felt wearing a turtle-neck under a plaid button up with corduroy pants did the job alright.

I wasn't joking when I said I only wore this green dress on the trip, but I did mix up the shoes so you wouldn't get too bored with my outfits!!! I finally had a new outfit after doing some bartering in Asia. Yes!
