Summer 2010 Wardrobe Makeover/Style Makeover Goals

Image
Ok, I just finished finals and the school year at college. So now, guess what, SUMMER VACATION. Which will be happy news for you readers because that means I will be much more involved with my blog again. And with active blogging comes another glorious beautiful thing. Summer is essentially the time of year where I prepare to reinvent my look....aka a MAKEOVER. So here is the goals that I plan to go through this summer: CLEAN OUT! Geez it's a nightmare in the closet, but this is always a good time to clean up and out. This includes the following: shirts, skirts, dresses, shoes, tights, socks, underwear, and jewelry. Repair: Favorites things get a little too loved by me. Fix the following: slit in back of black pencil skirt (yeah, the slit currently stops right below my butt), buttons on favorite vintage vest, put new button on black overcoat, fill the seam of my bootcut jeans' inner thigh, hem other pair of jeans Organize: so I can find lost or forgotten things Take Me...

Sorry it's so soon but...

This will be my last picture while I take a two three week break so I can pass my finals. You wouldn't want to see anything anyway because I am just going to dress for comfort and neglect my appearance for a while. I haven't had quite the self esteem I had before to take pictures, I don't think there's been a major change in the images, but I just don't feel good. I sometimes feel discouraged with pictures because I just feel fat lately, even though I look at pictures and don't see a significant change. I gained about five pounds, and with quick retaliation lost them two weeks later, but it's affected my pysche, and taking pictures doesn't seem to help. I also need a haircut and need to talk to my dermatologist, all which are things I can't worry about until finals are over, so I think I am just going to cut off any form of vanity- ie the blog - for two weeks, then I should come snapping back in better shape and with a fresh outlook on life...

Inverted Music Playlist Challenge - "Stolen" - Dashboard Confessional

Image
I have loved Dashboard Confessional music for a long time, since junior high. I love "Don't Wait", but I felt like this one suited Stolen a bit more because it was a more winter oriented outfit than spring. DC's "Stolen" music video probably has the most beautiful cinematography I have ever seen in a music video. In the opening, there is a shot of lead singer Chris Carrabba in a black double-breasted (Ithink) jacket walking along the beach in winter. This is also probably their most romantic song, so my accesories reflected the dark romantic nature of their music.
